Bookbinding of Monmouth Comprehensive

During the MDFAS sponsored session on book binding to a Monmouth Comprehensive sixth form class, Kevin Karney placed emphasis on how good presentation could enhance the quality of any written or printed work.

A "Piano-Hinged Collapsible Star Book" (see top illustration) was demonstrated and made by the whole class to illustrate what could be done with nothing more than paper & scissors.

Following the demonstration, with support from their teacher - Janet Chaplin, five students presented part of their course work in a bound form. Their work is shown below.
