The final cleaned Book is placed back in its shelf.
See below for details of this project

Our current project: The Mather Jackson Library, The Sessions House, Usk.
This involves the conservation of the collection of old law books.

Our group of 20 Heritage Volunteers have undertaken the cleaning and minor refurbishments of the 3000 law books contained in this library. We all enjoy this work and the camaraderie. The whole group had initial training from the NADFAS conservator, Mrs Carolyne Bendix, and now work in four sub-groups, one working each Friday morning

Please contact Jill Latham for further information. Any necessary training can be arranged for members interested in joining us.

The Library Trustees joined by Mrs Gilly Armitage (second from right, standing) one of our Heritage Volunteers.
